We are nearing the end of the school year and we've finally finished up our pamphlet and slide show. In the next coming week, we will be presenting these items to our fellow classmates to spread the word! After all the research and hard work, we can now label ourselves examples of a student leader. In the process of closing our project, we have been reflecting on what exactly we've learned throughout this project. In my opinion, the one lesson I took from this project was that we are so fortunate to be blessed with the many opportunities given to us, here in the U.S.
In the end, I believe that the overall leadership qualities that I was able to take out of this project were mālama (to take care), kōkua (to help), and alulike (working together) because three of us girls were able to come together to not just help, but care for fellow women around the world. The lesson's that I have learned have changed my view on the world and all living things inside of it. Everyone should be appreciated equally or in other words, you should have the same rights as you neighbor. A'ohe hana nui ka alu'ia. No task is too big when done together.
