It turns out that the progress will not stop! we will continue to do research for our cause to promote and share the word of women struggling in Sierra Leone. We have been researching ways they are being helped right now and the foundations supporting them, how we can help, and keeping ourselves updated with what exactly is going on in their lives. I've learned that the "Woman Kind" organization have been helping these woman to first come to terms with their equality rights, which is a good beginning step to a better education!
Throughout the course of my research. I've learned so much more about what women in other countries face. In Sierra Leone in particularly, I gathered that 70% of their general population are living below the poverty line. It's sad to say, but not many countries are as fortunate as us girls in America because they don't have the same privileges or rights as us. I mean, we currently have a woman running for president for the 2016 election. A quarter of a million of the women there have also suffered from sexual violence from their most recent civil war. If these women could only be educated, it might just help them to save their life..
