This week I went out and bought all of my supplies. My mom and I went to Costco and bought two large tubs of cookie dough, a box of pop-tarts containing 24 packs, and boxes of fig bars. By going to Costco, the quantities were larger and the prices were cheaper, making the fundraiser much more profitable. I set aside my Saturday to bake and package the cookies. I've found the profit that I must make and am packaging the cookies accordingly. It took about 5 hours to bake and package cookies, because I hand wrote labels with our project title. This made the process a little longer but added a bit of flare to attract customers and address the cause. A challenge with baking was that I had no help and my oven could only bake 12 cookies at a time. However, this was a good learning experience, in that I will not always have help and there are many more challenging jobs than this.
