During this week, we have discussed more about what we will bake and how we will proceed. Iʻve talked to my parents about the net income and how I will profit from what I spent. Iʻve decided on baking cookies and also selling pop-tarts and fig bars. I found this useful because everyone at school gets hungry and wants an afternoon snack. I have yet to decide on how to package them and sell, however, I do believe I am making progress. I am excited about this project because I love to bake especially if I am doing it for a good cause. We all hope that by doing this fundraiser, it will spread the word about inequality specifically in Sierra Leone. We want to get the message out there that women are struggling and deserve proper education and health care, but most importantly respect. I believe that it is our job as women to support other women. By spreading the word and donating our profit, we will be helping these women lead better lives.
